Regarding the market-reported cracking issue at the connection between the R18 lower frame slewing bearing mounting base and the lower frame, RIPPA R&D Center has conducted testing and analysis. The identified problems, root causes, and corrective actions are described below:<\/span><\/p>\n

I. Problem Description<\/h3>\n

During machine operation, fracture occurs at the connection between the slewing bearing mounting base and the lower frame.<\/span><\/p>\n

\n<\/span>The test analysis reveals the following root causes:<\/span><\/h3>\n

During excavation operations, extreme vertical tensile forces and lateral shear forces are generated between the slewing bearing mounting base and the lower frame. The base plate thickness of 10 mm presents a risk of fatigue fracture over prolonged use.<\/span><\/p>\n

III. Corrective Actions<\/h3>\n

To address the above issues, our company will implement the following corrective measures:<\/span><\/p>\n

The base plate at the connection between the lower frame and the slewing bearing mounting base shall be thickened to 16 mm, and the bulldozer blade ear plates shall be connected to the slewing bearing mounting base to reinforce the strength of the slewing bearing mounting assembly.<\/span><\/p>\n

In response to the above countermeasures, we conducted sampling tests on 10 units of this model in our plant, and all test results met the applicable testing standards.<\/span><\/p>\n

For the above problem resolution plan, our company will initiate a recall process for affected units, providing free replacement parts, repair work instructions, repair videos, and other services for all involved product vehicles.<\/span><\/p>\n
